AGEman Solutions and VieFUND are joining forces to provide a suite of integrated back-office services for mutual fund dealers and life insurance agencies.
The two software firms announced their partnership on March 8, and say they are able to offer "an integrated, bi-directional interface" between the VieFUND back-office system for mutual fund dealers and the AGEman, a back-office software program for life agencies.
"This relationship will create a Canadian first for electronic data interchange (EDI)," reads the announcement. "This interface has no equivalent in the Canadian market. Provided in a paperless environment, it allows for substantial gains in efficiency and quality in the transfer of information between an agency and its advisors in mutual funds as well as in segregated funds and life insurance."
In particular, the two companies say that their partnership will allow advisors to provide clients with complete and real time snapshots of their portfolios as well as access to the full suite of related programs, including AGEman Portal, REPman Action, Kronos Finance and iGeny.
Access to transparent data
Nathan Carey, president of AGEman Solutions, says the new partnership demonstrates his company's leadership in the Canadian market. "We innovate so that our clients are the best,” he says. Mark Lafreniere, the vice president of business development of VieFUND, believes the initiative will allow the two companies "to focus on our mutual specialties while at the same time offering both systems with access to transparent data to our customers."
