Manulife Asset Management has hired Dario Di Napoli to be its managing director of institutional sales.
Di Napoli will work out of the company's Toronto office and will be responsible for central and eastern Canada, looking after plans with assets below $100 million. The company says that he will also assist with Manulife Asset Management's larger defined contribution plan sponsor relationships, working closely with the firm's Group Retirement Solutions affiliate.
In press release announcing his appointment, Manulife noted that Di Napoli holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science degree from the University of Western Ontario and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA). He has also completed level I of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and recently obtained the Certificate in Pension Law from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University.
Di Napoli assumed the new role on Aug. 17, and will report to Adam Neal, Senior Managing Director, Canadian Head of Institutional Sales & Relationship Management at Manulife Asset Management.
