Earl Bederman, the president and CEO of Investor Economics, has announced that he will retire on July 1.
On June 3, Bederman announced his plans to step down from the financial services research company he founded in 1992 and eventually sold to the US firm Asset International in 2013. The current senior managing director, Goshka Folda, will take over as president and CEO.
“Goshka has been an essential component of Investor Economics’ growth and success since its inception more than 23 years ago,” said Bederman. “She is widely recognized as a thought leader in the Canadian wealth management business and her expertise and opinion are widely sought after by clients and industry leaders.”
As part of the change in leadership, Carlos Cardone will be promoted to senior managing director. Cardone joined Investor Economics in 2004 and leads a team responsible for the firm's investment funds, deposits, and household balance sheet research.
