Monica Ningen has been appointed President & CEO of Swiss Re Canada & English Caribbean, effective July 1. Ningen succeeds Veronica Scotti, who has been named Chairperson Global Partnerships.

Since then, she has held several leadership roles in property underwriting, most recently as Head of Property Underwriting US & Canada.

Growing business and client relationships

"Monica's business experience and strong leadership skills will be a key asset in helping Swiss Re to grow our business and client relationships in Canada and the English Caribbean,” said J. Eric Smith, President nand CEO, Swiss Re Americas, in an announcement. “I wish her the best in this new opportunity. I also want to thank Veronica for her many contributions in Canada."

Mingen will be based in Toronto and plans to relocate there in early August. Scotti, who joined Swiss Re in 1999, will relocate to Zurich in early August.
