The Financial Planning Standards Council is currently accepting nominations for its Fellow of FPSC distinction, recognizing individuals who have significantly contributed to the financial planning sector in Canada.
Selection criteria include volunteering or related activity with the FPSC, and having helped advance the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) professional standards.
Fellows will receive the distinction during Financial Planning week at FPSC’s Celebration of the Profession Dinner, which will be held on Nov. 21, in Toronto. The deadline to submit nominations is June 9, 2017. To submit a nomination, visit FPSC’s Fellow of FPSC page.
Donald J. Johnston Lifetime Achievement Award
Additionally, the FPSC is also accepting nominations for the Donald J. Johnston Lifetime Achievement Award in Financial Planning. This award recognizes an individual’s lifelong contribution to the advancement of CFP certification and contributions to the financial planning sector. The award is named after Don Johnston, who led the FPSC during the first ten years of its development and operation and helped set the foundation for the evolution of financial planning in Canada.
