Vice President, Sales
Andrew Fink has a passion for the insurance industry that is described as being infectious. He owns the products, he’s sold the products and today he leads a team of 25 directors and broker development specialists nationwide for one of the industry’s largest Managing General Agencies (MGAs).
The HUB Financial vice president of sales climbed the ladder quickly after joining the company in 2013 as a broker development specialist. His drive, passion and his ability to work a room was so noticeable that executives were moved to “bring him downtown” to Vancouver from the company’s Surrey office.
“He immediately made an impact,” says HUB’s executive vice president and chief sales officer, Chris DiSalle. “He truly loves the business and he truly loves the people. We’re doing more business because of his training development and his sales team coaching.”
Fink earned his Certified Financial Planning (CFP) designation in 2015. His ability to collaborate with colleagues and advisors of all ages and backgrounds led to his promotion to director of sales at the age of 28. Six months later he was promoted again to his current vice president role.
“He gets all aspects of being a successful MGA sales executive,” DiSalle adds. “He is a fantastic presenter. He’s passionate. He knows how to read and work with a room and just generally exudes confidence and positive energy.”
In addition to family support and the mentorship he received from HUB’s senior executives, Fink says his years of participation in higher level athletics also helped to shape who he is today. “It really taught me fundamentals – how to be successful in a team atmosphere. I learned how to win, how to lose and how to set goals and focus on what I can be doing today, in the now, to achieve something long term. That’s served me really well.”
